Academy Lions lead the way

Academy Lions picked up their third straight win to open the CIFA U11 Boys’ League and maintain their spot atop the standings in the latest round of matches.
Lions beat Future SC 2-1 at the Annex on 18 February to remain the top team in the league, while Sunset FC Celtic dominated Prospect Academy to have the respect rule enforced with the score at 4-0. With the win Celtic moves into second, ahead of Future.
Meantime, Sunset FC Rangers and Academy SC Stingrays faced each other. Rangers took the 1-0 win and sit fourth in the standings.
George Town Sports Club and Savanah Tigers ‘A’ drew 1-1 in the league’s other fixture of the weekend. Tigers ‘B’ was inactive.
The CIFA U11 Girls’ League was also in full swing at the Annex with two matches. Elite SC enforced the respect rule against Prospect Academy after building a 4-0 lead, while Academy SC defeated Savannah Tigers 2-1.
