Gymnasts’ golden performance

Nine Excel Gold gymnasts representing Motions Unlimited at the Florida Crown Championships in Boca Raton, Florida on April 28th took home the first-place gold team title claiming sweet success for their final overseas meet of the season.
The team of Ciara Bradley, Morgan Crowley, Emmi Daykin, Meaghan Fowler, Bethany Hawkins, Georgi Hayman, Maddalena Polloni, Sophia Simpson and Tai Wammer dominated the awards stage as the largest group in this category for Motions.
In the group 1 age division, Bethany Hawkins sparkled with a gold first place all around along with a gold on beam plus bronze on floor, bars and vault. Georgi Hayman snapped up a silver second place all around and gold on bars while Sophia Simpson dazzled with a gold first place on vault and silver on bars. Rounding out group 1 was Emmi Daykin grabbing a first-place gold on beam and silver on floor.
In the group 2 age division, veteran Xcel Gold gymnast Morgan Crowley stepped up to claim first place all around, silver on bars and bronze on floor and vault. Tai Wammer beamed with a gold first place on balance beam, silver on vault and third place bronze all around. Maddalena Polloni scored a first-place gold victory on vault along with a bronze third place on bars. Meaghan Fowler added to the medal count with a bronze on beam and Ciara Bradley secured a silver second place on floor with the highest score on that event for the entire Motions Xcel group.
Coming up next for the Motions Unlimited competitive gymnasts will be the Summer Extravaganza in May at the Motions facility on Sparky’s Drive.
