Hider competes against world’s best youth sailors

Ava Hider represented the Cayman Islands at the 2019 Youth Sailing World Championships in Gdynia, Poland, competing in the Girls Laser Radial competition.
This was the second straight year that the teen has set sail at the World Youths, which is open to sailors 19 years of age and under.
Hider competed in nine races, with her best finishes coming in the final two, where she finished 37th and 34th to end up with an overall finish of 46th at the 13-26 July championships.
