NORCECA tournament is next weekend

The countdown is on for one of largest sporting events in Grand Cayman. The NORCECA Beach Volleyball tour hits these shores at Public Beach next to Calico Jacks next weekend (21-23 April).
Confirmed participating countries this year are: Puerto Rico, Cuba, Guatemala, Trinidad, Nicaragua, United States, Canada, St Kitts and Nevis, Virgin Islands, El Salvador; and hosts Cayman Islands.
This year Cayman will be entering two female teams and a male team.
“We welcome back the fantastic Stefania Gandolfi with her new partner Marissa Harrison. On our second women’s team, we have Ileann Powery returning to active status for the 2017 NORCECA season and starting the season off with a new partner, Taylor Burrowes, another familiar face on and off the court,” the Cayman Islands Volleyball Federation (CIVF) announced in a press release.
“For the men’s side, we are excited to introduce David Wood and Casey Santamaria, our newest national players,” CIVF added.
The tournament begins Friday, 21 April at 9:00 a.m .and lasts until Sunday, 23 April. VIP tickets are still available at $25 per ticket, which includes all you can drink and snacks. You can purchase tickets from the Epic Day Office or on the connected castaway app. Shaded seating will be on offer around main court for a fee of $5 per day, and that includes a FREE entry into the raffle draw.
