Rising track and field stars compete in El Salvador

A team of five athletes left Thursday (25 July) to represent the Cayman Islands at the NACAC U13 and U15 Championships in El Salvador.
The two girls and three boys will compete in pentathlon and heptathlon events in the 26-27 July meet at the Estadio Jorge ‘Magico’ Gonzalez in the city of San Salvador in the Central American country.
Aimee McKenzie: U13 Girls Pentathlon
Deneisha Taylor: U15 Girls Heptathlon
Anthony Chin Jr: U13 Boys Pentathlon
Michail Michelin: U13 Boys Pentathlon
Bradley Erskine: U15 Boys Heptathlon
The pentathlon for the U13 age group features: 60 metre dash, 800/1000 metres, long jump, high jump and baseball throw.
Meantime, the heptathlon for athletes in the U15 category features: 80 metre dash, 1000/1200 metres, 60/80 metre hurdles, long jump, high jump, baseball throw and shot put.
Accompanying the athletes are coach Eric Webster and manager Molly-Ann Moore.
