Academy’s Youth Cup is back
- Updated: 17 April 2018
The Cayman Airways Youth Cup hosted by Academy Sports Club is back this year. The fourth edition of the tournament has been slated for 25-30 June with visiting teams expected from North America and the Caribbean.
The tournament will feature local teams taking on international competition in the Under-13 age group. Organisers said teams will be revealed in the coming weeks. Games will be played at Truman Bodden Sports Complex and in Cayman Brac.
Cayman Airways is continuing its support of local football talent as the tournament’s title sponsor.
“Academy thanks all sponsors who are supporting this year’s event, many of whom have been involved from the outset and continue to recognise the importance of sports initiatives for Caymanian youth. And to those who are involved for the first time this year, many thanks for becoming part of this great initiative,” said Virgil Seymour, Academy Sports Club’s technical director.
