Local equestrians wrap up show jumping season

The fourth and final leg of the National Jumping Series was held last weekend at the Equestrian Center, located off of the Linford Pierson Highway in George Town.
The highlight of the show were double wins by Leah Alberga in the 60cm Horse class on Rambo and the 80cm Pony class riding Moon Lady and by Jodie McTaggart in the 80cm Horse an 90cm Open classes on her horse, Nala.

With the last jumping show of the season complete, the Cayman Islands Equestrian Federation (CIEF) will soon announce the names of the Series’ Champions at its annual awards dinner.
The final show of the 2017-18 show season will be the fourth National Dressage Show which will be held on 6 May starting at 8:00 a.m. at the Equestrian Center and 2:30 p.m. at Cayman Riding School.
The CIEF is the national governing body for equestrian sport in the Cayman Islands and it holds nine horse shows each year, which are open to all of its members.
