President’s Cup mix-up
- Updated: 27 April 2018
Cayman Islands Football Association (CIFA) officials have admitted a mistake with the match-ups for the first round of the President’s Cup, which resulted in teams playing against each other when they should not have.
As such, the match between George Town SC and Cayman Athletic played on 22 April had to be voided and the Bodden Town FC vs Future SC game scheduled for 25 April had to be called off. Subsequently, the pairings involving those four clubs had to be redone.
With the changes, Bodden Town FC and Cayman Athletic will face each other on Sunday, 29 April at the Annex with a 4:45 p.m. kickoff. That game will be followed by Future SC vs. George Town SC at 7:00 p.m.
