UPDATE: U15 Boys FA Cup semis on Monday
- Updated: 13 January 2017
The 2016/17 CIFA Under-15 Boys FA Cup kicks off Monday, 16 January, with two of the three teams in the league playing for a berth in the finals.
Sunset FC and Cayman Athletic were originally scheduled to meet at the CIFA Field in Prospect at 2:00 p.m. Saturday but that was later postponed until Monday at 5:00 p.m.
The third team in the league, Academy Sports Club, has a bye.
The draw was made Thursday, 12 January, live on Radio Cayman. The teams were drawn randomly under the supervision of Caribbean Football Union Executive Member and CIFA First Vice President, Bruce Blake.
A date for the finals has not yet been disclosed.
The draw was also made for the Under-17 Boys FA Cup, in which Academy SC ‘B’ will meet Academy SC ‘A’ at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, 1 February at the Annex. The winner will face Cayman Athletic in the final on a date to be announced.
The number of teams playing in the youth leagues have fallen off this season, with only Academy SC, Cayman Athletic and Sunset FC fielding teams.
It’s been a particularly short season for the Under-15s, who are gearing up for the CONCACAF Championships this summer.
