We’re back!!!
- Updated: 27 June 2019
It’s been a while, hasn’t it? After a bit if downtime, I’m proud to announce that Cayman Sports Buzz is back up and (dare I say) buzzing.
Sometimes you have to take a break from the things you cherish the most to truly appreciate them. That’s certainly true in this case. It was a tough decision to take a break from highlighting the achievements of Cayman’s athletes, whether in local competition or doing their thing overseas. However, a break was needed for various reasons. I can already feel the adrenaline flowing through my veins as I once again combine two things I love immensely: sports and writing.
In the coming days, you will see lots of content that you have come to expect from Cayman Sports Buzz over the years. There will also be some changes. You can expect “quality over quantity” with our coverage of Cayman Islands sports. I can’t promise that we’ll be at every event but when we do a story, it will be well worth the read or view, as we’ll have a rich mix of well-written and compelling video content in addition to more photos (why hide all the amazing action shots in our archive?).
I won’t play spoiler and share all the new features that are in the pipeline, but I must say a big thank you to some key sports stakeholders who took the time to provide feedback that has helped craft the future of Cayman Sports Buzz.
To all those who have called, emailed and messaged, especially athletes, coaches and parents – thanks for the encouragement and for checking in. You’ve helped to trigger the return.
It’s set to be a great summer of sports and I look forward to Cayman Sports Buzz being there to tell the story of our athletes as they pursue glory in competitions near and far.
Yours in Sports,
Ben Meade, Editor, Cayman Sports Buzz
Doing it for the love of sports!
